Bio: Peter has a degree in Journalism, an Honours degree in Political Science and Mass Communication and a Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Peter is registered with CASLPO and practices in Toronto, Ontario. He has a variety of experience assessing and treating adults and children in schools, habilitation centers, and in clients' homes. Bio: Sehrish has a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida. She then completed her Master of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto.

Sehrish completed the Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy certification at The Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy - AOMT. Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy is a neurological re-education exercise program to assist the normalization of the developing, or developed, craniofacial structure. Sehrish provides speech therapy to help with tongue thrust, open mouth breathing, lisps and low lying tongue placement.

Sehrish provides corporate speech therapy helping clients with various work-related communication responsibilities in order for clients to communicate more effectively with their customers. Bio: Amabelle Mayordomo has a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from McMaster University. She also completed a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education. She has over 15 years of experience working with preschool and school-aged children, teachers, and families.

Amabelle is a Hanen-certified Speech-Language Pathologist (It Takes Two to Talk and More Than Words) and is currently in the process of obtaining an Individual Authorizer (IA) certification. Bio: Ginette Despres was born in New Brunswick and later embarked on her academic journey at the University of Ottawa where she developed her passion for language and education.

Initially pursuing a career as a bilingual educator, Ginette dedicated her focus to the Second Language Teaching Program, alongside an Honors degree in Linguistics. However, Ginette found that her path began to evolve as she delved deeper into the realm of communication disorders. Driven by a desire to make a tangible difference, Ginette transitioned into the field of Speech-Language Pathology, earning a Master’s degree from the University of Ottawa in 2005.

Ginette has since been an integral member of communities in both Ontario and New Brunswick, working in French school boards and offering expertise to francophone, bilingual and multilingual learners. Additionally, her work in the private sector, both as a Speech-Language Pathologist and a French tutor for French immersion students, enriched her understanding of diverse linguistic needs. She currently practises as an Orthophoniste in our partnering MonAvenir French Schools.

Recognizing the pivotal role of phonological awareness in literacy, Ginette is highly skilled in identifying and addressing phonological processing disorders and she is committed to collaborating with educators and families to help learners improve their reading and writing skills to reach their full academic potential. She is also adept at using multisensory techniques and providing therapy to students with a wide range of speech and language disorders, from articulation to social communication challenges. Ginette's knowledge and experience extend even further to include the use and implementation of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) with verbal and non-verbal learners.

Bio: Laura has a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, as well as a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped, both from Adelphi University. Laura is registered to practice in Ontario under CASLPO, and is a member of SAC. She is also ASHA certified and licensed to practice in New York State. Laura is the current speech director (virtual) for a private school for autism in New York City, where she has gained over 20 years of experience, working with this population. In addition to autism, she enjoys working with young children who demonstrate language delays, as well as speech sound disorders. Laura often uses her knowledge of ABA principles to guide her
treatment approaches, while bringing fun and functionality to learning.

Laura is trained in a variety of therapeutic tactile approaches for articulation, such as PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) and Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol (K-SLP), as well as traditional approaches. She has experience in the area of myofunctional therapy related to orofacial myofunctional concerns, such as open mouth posture, tongue thrust and lisps, chewing and handling of saliva. Bio: Originally from Saskatchewan, Lora holds an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree with double majors in Speech Language Pathology and Psychology from Minot State University, as well as a Master's degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Washington State University. She has additional training and development in such areas as traumatic brain injury and stroke, neuromuscular disorders, and voice further enhancing her expertise in the field. 

With over 25 years of experience, Lora provides care to individuals of all ages. She has an evidence-based approach in the management of communication and swallowing disorders. More specifically, Lora has assisted a number of clientele in the treatment of dysarthria, apraxia, voice, fluency, cognitive communication, language, accent reduction, and articulation. Lora holds certifications in oromyofunctional therapy (OMT) and English as a Second Language (P-ESL). In addition, she has a great deal of experience in adult dysphagia and has maintained her MBSimP certification. She has previous certification and training in Hanen programming, as well as with the LSVT approach for individuals with Parkinson's disease. 

Lora has worked in hospital and clinical settings, in home care, as well as educational settings. She is dedicated to her clients and to ensuring that treatment is personalized, functional, and meaningful to them.

PROMPT is a tactile-kinesthetic approach to speech therapy, which means that the speech-language pathologist uses touch cues on the client’s face (vocal folds, jaw, lips, tongue), to support and shape correct movement of these articulators.

Julia has 15 years’ experience working with children with autism conducting speech and ABA/IBI therapy both in centres and in-home. Shiyannie has experience working with pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations across a broad range of areas, including verbal and non-verbal communication, speech delays, receptive and expressive language, literacy, articulation, motor speech disorders, selective mutism, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), cognitive-communication therapy, and stroke rehabilitation.

Bio: Sophie joins us with many years of experience working with children with a wide range of communicative, cognitive, as well as physical disabilities. At the same time as working as a CDA, she carries out behavioural therapy for children with ASD. During her education and work experience, Sophie received experience and training in multiple different areas such as: articulation, language, Applied Behaviour Analysis/Intensive Behavioural Intervention, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), oral motor exercises, and in hearing screening.

Bio: Stacey Alderman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, which she earned in 2002, followed by a post-graduate certificate in Communicative Disorders Assistant in 2005. Stacey's primary areas of expertise include articulation, language delay, early social communication, grammar, and early literacy.  Since 2007, she has worked full-time at a children’s treatment centre, where she has also gained valuable on-the-job experience in occupational therapy. In 2021, she expanded her scope of practice by becoming an Early Childhood Vision Consultant. Bio: Tina Lalonde holds a diploma in Educational Assistance, a post-graduate certificate in American Sign Language, and a post-graduate certificate in Communicative Disorders Assistant. She brings over 14 years of experience working with students aged 3 to 21 in both mainstream classrooms and specialized educational settings, including high school Life Skills programs. Tina also has several years of direct experience providing quality in home speech and language therapy.
